WORKSHOPS
In January, we were able to host a fully subsidised NIDA Open workshop for local teens. Read more here.

REGULAR SUBSIDISED WORKSHOPS
Milton Follies regularly subsidises workshops for its members through local providers, including Livewire Theatre.
FABULOUS FOLLIES FROLIC
Held annually as part of Escape Art Fest, the Follies Frolic is a free, family-friendly event where everyone is welcome to participate, or just sit back and watch. There are guaranteed laughs and fun with Theatre Sports, improvisation, monologues, skits, and previews of our upcoming productions.
OPEN REHEARSALS
Whenever possible, we open our rehearsal doors to the public for a special open rehearsal, to demystify the process of acting and staging a production. Community members participate in the actors’ warmups, watch the actors and director working on scenes, and get a sneak preview of the upcoming production. They also participate in a Q&A session with the cast and crew, to help them learn more about the world of play, and what goes on behind the scenes.
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Follies is privileged to be part of the great Milton-Ulladulla community. We try to be involved in as many community events as we can, in this very active community. Our members and volunteers regularly participate in yearly community Christmas Carols. Our children’s productions (all ages shows) are usually accompanied by a handmade scarecrow of the lead character for the Milton Scarecrow Festival. Audience members are also encouraged to dress in costume for a special performance during our all ages productions.
We aim to engage work experience students from Ulladulla High School in all of our productions, in all aspects of technical production, including: sound; lighting; projections; stage management; stage hands; and assistant directors.
FUNDRAISING, AWARDS and SPONSORS
Our tireless volunteers regularly undertake fundraising activities, including trivia nights, sausage sizzles, and raffles. We are also extremely grateful for the ongoing support of our community and local sponsors. Individual Follies members are also regularly recognised by the community for their amazing talent.
