Milton Follies Scholarship Winner – Michelle Carson

We are thrilled to announce that Michelle Carson has been awarded a Milton Follies Scholarship — and honestly, we couldn’t think of a more deserving recipient.

Michelle Carson first burst onto our stage in our 2019 musical Evie and the Birdman, and she was hooked from the moment she stepped into the spotlight. In 2023 she shone in Letters to Lindy, and in 2024 she absolutely owned the role of the glamorous, man-eating Tanya in Mamma Mia! But Michelle’s talents don’t stop at performing. In 2025 she took the helm as Director of the Milton Ulladulla Entertainers, and in 2026 she took on the roles of Co- Creative Producer and Director for Herding Cats, cementing her reputation as a true creative force in our community.

And a force of nature she is! Beyond the theatre, Michelle is a multiple-section winner of the Sing It Out Loud singing competition in Sydney, where she was also awarded overall winner of Best Stage Presentation — a fitting tribute to her powerhouse vocals and magnetic stage presence.

Michelle will be using her scholarship to participate in a Creative Mentorship Program, supporting her as she pursues her dream of creating her own cabaret show — one that will showcase her extraordinary voice and her unique experiences in the performing arts. We cannot wait to see what she creates next — and you can bet we’ll be first in line when that cabaret hits the stage!
